Special Events

Risk Management Services (RMS) is an active member of the UA Campus Use Committee.  The Committee reviews and approves or denies applications for events held in public spaces on campus.  Safety of participants and spectators of campus events is a priority of the Committee. Most campus events involving non-university entities are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance that indicates insurance coverage for commercial general liability, and in some cases, auto liability and worker's compensation.  Liability policies for general and auto liability must be endorsed to name the University of Arizona, Arizona Board of Regents, and the State of Arizona as additional insureds.  Minimum coverage requirements apply, and can be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
