Mission & Values
Mission
The Risk Management Division, within the Office of Business Affairs at the University of Arizona, partners with the university community to anticipate, identify, evaluate, and proactively manage risks. Through expert consulting, enterprise risk management, insurance services, claims administration, regulatory compliance, contractual risk transfer, and loss prevention, we protect the institution’s people, assets, and reputation while advancing the University’s mission of excellence in teaching, research, and service. We promote sound risk management principles and best practices through collaborative, cross-functional partnerships. Our dedicated team delivers practical solutions and strategic support for a wide range of university activities—including special events, field trips, high-risk travel, drones, minors on campus, volunteer coverage, and more—fostering a safe, resilient, and thriving campus environment for all.
