Manager of Industrial Hygiene Programs
John began working at the university in January 2000 in the Radiation Control Department. He transferred to Risk Management Services in August 2000 and worked in many capacities including Hazardous Waste Specialist, Asbestos and Lead Coordinator, the Fleet Safety Officer for the University before taking the role of Manager of Industrial Hygiene Programs.
He oversees a program with a staff of four individuals covering areas of indoor air quality, mold, occupational industrial hygiene exposures as lead, asbestos and other chemicals. They also are responsible for occupational safety compliance and training for University employees in areas such as fall protection, confined space entry, and many others. John received a BA in Biology from Franklin Pierce College and recently received a Masters of Public Health from the U of A. He is also a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Certified Safety Professional.
