Mission Statement

The Department of Risk Management and Safety (RM&S) provides consultation, service and education to the University Community in the areas of health & safety, environmental compliance, loss prevention and insurance.

Our activities help the University community to:

create and maintain a safe environment for students, employees and campus visitors;
identify strategies and opportunities to manage risks and reduce losses;
comply with pertinent laws and regulations;

These efforts serve all areas of the University community in pursuit of the the University mission.
