Herb Wagner, Associate Director
Herb has been part of Risk Management & Safety for over 21 years, joining the department in April 1985. He oversees the occupational and environmental health and safety programs for the campus. He serves on many campus safety committees including the Institutional Biosafety Committee and The Campus Emergency Response Team. Prior to his appointment as Associate Director he held the positions of Hazardous Waste Program Coordinator, AHSC Safety Officer, Campus Safety Officer, and Assistant Director.
A graduate in Biology from the UA, Herb spent over seven years as a research associate and laboratory manager for the Department of Anatomy in the UA College of Medicine prior to joining Risk Management & Safety.
